Graph Intelligence and Security

Use this showcase if you’re building an application where users need to make dense networks easier to read. It shows how related nodes can be combined into expandable groups (combos), reducing visual clutter without removing the detail analysts may need later.

What the showcase demonstrates

The showcase starts with a large and densely connected suspect network. In its uncombined form, the chart is difficult to interpret as every person and connection is visible.

To address this, users can combine suspects by country, or add a regional layer for a broader view. Weighted links are created between combos to show that individuals from different combos are connected, and to indicate where the strongest relationships are.

Users can interact with the chart and control the level of detail that is shown at any given time. A region can be opened to reveal countries, and a country can be expanded to show the individual suspects inside it. From there, selecting a person brings their primary connections to the foreground, so analysts can focus on a specific suspect without losing the wider context.

Layout controls give users another way to reshape the network which can help reveal insights that might be missed otherwise.

What you can evaluate

For product and engineering teams, this showcase demonstrates how the SDKs can support network decluttering in applications with highly connected data. It highlights nested combos, weighted links, foreground and layout switching.

The workflow supports network exploration whereby users can reduce the noise in the chart to see the structure, and open or close groups as needed for closer inspection.
