Timeline Geospatial Intelligence and Security

Use this showcase if you’re building an application where analysts need to understand behavior as it changes across time and location. Based on taxi observations from the Porto area of Portugal, it pairs a map with a timeline so movement data can be examined at city scale without losing sight of individual journeys.

What the showcase demonstrates

Around one million taxi location observations are displayed on the map, with the timeline controlling which moments are visible. As the time window changes, the map narrows to the matching observations, making it easier to move from a broad pattern to a specific journey.

An analyst can pin or focus a taxi to follow its trajectory, or define an area and time window to find which vehicles were present in a place of interest. From there, the same entities can be compared across other locations and time periods. The timeline can also switch between daily or weekly views, revealing routines and exceptions that are harder to see in linear time.

The showcase supports different starting points: a known entity, a relevant location, or an unusual pattern that needs further investigation.

What you can evaluate

For product and engineering teams, this showcase demonstrates how the SDKs can support large-scale spatiotemporal analysis. It shows synchronized timeline and map views, location-based filtering, entity focus, trajectory tracking and time-wrapped pattern analysis.

The workflow supports a core pattern-of-life task: understand what usually happens, then find the movement, timing or location that breaks that pattern.
