Use this showcase if you’re building an application where users need to investigate product issues across a logistics network. It shows how timeline and network views can help teams follow a contaminated consignment from retailer back to source, and then identify where action may be needed.

What the showcase demonstrates

The showcase follows a consignment of spinach after E. coli contamination is discovered at a retailer. The timeline shows each batch moving through the logistics process, while the network view reveals the route from farm to processing site, distributor and retail store.

Users can work backwards from the affected retailer to see where the contaminated batch originated. The relevant events, links and nodes are highlighted to stand out visually, making the path easier to follow through the wider network. In this example, the consignment reached Aroma Foods and Gardenia Grocery, but not every retailer. This helps teams protect consumers without triggering a broader recall than necessary.

The timeline also helps explain what happened along the way. Tooltips provide details such as time in transit and refrigeration temperature. A high-temperature alert narrows the investigation to a specific leg of the journey, showing where conditions may have contributed to the issue.

What you can evaluate

For product and engineering teams, this showcase demonstrates how the SDKs can support supply chain traceability and incident response workflows. It shows coordinated timeline and network views, path highlighting, event alerts and contextual tooltips for investigating individual consignments.

The workflow supports a core supply chain investigation task: find the source of a contaminated batch and then identify which locations are at risk.
